RGP CYLINDRICAL PRISM STABILIZED LENSES



Rigid prism stabilized lenses are 
manufactured with the cylinder 
generated on the front surface.  

Prism ballasted lenses may be 
truncated, that is a portion of 
the edge is removed giving a 
“flat” side to the lens.  This, 
in addition to the prism, helps 
maintain rotational stabilization 
of the lens.
